1970 Honda CB750

1970 Honda CB750. This excellent, pristine and very exacting CB750 came to me partially completed by the previous owner / collector / restorer. It was taken right down to the bone and brought back up with all new genuine parts and finishes including professional powder coat to the frame and swing arm. It’s fortunate that he started this work when there was still so much genuine OEM and NOS Honda parts available. According to the invoices, notes and current contact with the previous Owner, the tank is NOS as is the headlamp bucket and right and left front fork covers. The mirrors as also NOS. The tach is NOS and speedometer OEM and not reflective of the miles on this total restoration. Much else I’m sure but these are certain. The engine was completely overhauled and rebuilt by Cycle Works in Edmonton Alberta. The bike has been reassembled with all new cables, fuel and brake lines, final drive sprockets and chain. The saddle is OEM and incredible condition for its age. Upon receiving into my collection I rebuilt the wheels utilizing the original D.I.D. rims. These received new chrome finishes, hubs polished, new seals and bearings, new genuine Honda spokes, new inner tubes and a new Avon Speedmaster front tire. The rear sprocket is a correct high quality Yamiya reproduction 45 tooth. Rear brake shoes are new and genuine, rear brake panel polished. The front caliper has been rebuilt as has the OEM correct master cylinder with new pro finish and genuine Honda parts. The engine covers have all been removed and professionally polished. The tank was removed and internally cleaned (didn’t need it) It was reinstalled with new fuel lines and new, correct Honda fuel petcock. The carbs are rebuild and immaculate inside and out. The carb control cable is NOS. The exhaust is a beautiful set of HM 300, the rear chain guard is an original shorter version correct for this year / VIN.
The front fork lowers are polished and are the correct smaller diameter at the oil seal area, correct for this year and VIN. The very rare correct rear shocks have been totally refurbished. I added a beautiful correct OEM early round plug, recessed key, ignition switch, a new Honda wiring harness and gleaned over all the hardware correcting anything I found with genuine Honda pieces. I believe I have it all. Fully functional steering head lock with matching main switch number and key. All winkers are correct genuine Honda. There are zero miles on this beautiful restoration / rebuild. There are no fluids in the bike other than new brake fluid. New air and oil filter. Genuine original tool kit in the tool tray.
